BusinessCom acquires IT and Telecom distributor Stupers

BusinessCom acquires IT and Telecom distributor Stupers

BusinessCom, a distributor since 2002 in telecom and IT solutions based in Veghel (Netherlands) and Merchtem (Belgium), will officially take over all activities of distributor Stupers (founded in 1991) from Rosmalen and Zellik as of 1 February 2023. Through the acquisition, BusinessCom expands its product portfolio with video surveillance solutions and grows its telecom and ICT solutions thanks to the addition of NEC hardware, Snom and Xelion, among others.

The acquisition of Stupers is a strategic move that strengthens BusinessCom's one-stop-shop proposition. Through previous acquisitions of Televersal in 2016 and Futura ICT in 2020, BusinessCom has already grown significantly in products and partners. With the acquisition of Stupers, the number of unique partners is again growing strongly and BusinessCom can offer more solutions to existing partners. Because Stupers employees will join BusinessCom, knowledge and service remain in-house, partners keep their trusted contact person and benefit from a broader product portfolio and extended opening and delivery times.

Pieter van Eldonk, CEO BusinessCom: "The acquisition of Stupers in the Netherlands and Belgium makes our proposition even stronger. With i-PRO we can suddenly cover the video surveillance market, with Xelion we can strengthen our My-Connect cloud proposition and with the peripherals of Snom, among others, we can further strengthen our one-stop shop strategy. The credo of this takeover is therefore: "Stronger together" and I have every confidence in that. I am looking forward to all the new opportunities this will offer us again.''

Maikel Broecks, Managing Director Stupers: "I think this takeover is positive for everyone. We can provide our customers with an even better and wider range of products in video surveillance, telecom and networking. We have more room to expand and a number of important points such as longer opening hours and database links have also been settled. Our Stupers team will merge with a strong distributor and that feels good."

The acquisition expands BusinessCom's brand portfolio to include Xelion, i-PRO and NEC, among others. As a result, new and existing resellers can now turn to BusinessCom for more than 40 brands, including My-Connect, Mitel, Unify, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, ClearVox, Jabra, Gigaset, Ascom, Extreme, NETGEAR, Barracuda, LANCOM Systems, TP-Link, Pridis, Yealink, Xelion, i-PRO, NEC and Snom.

With the acquisition of Stupers, the number of unique resellers grows to around 1650 in both the SME and large business segments in the Benelux and Nordics.

From the warehouse in Veghel, orders placed before 22:00 on Mondays to Fridays and before 17:00 on Saturdays are shipped the same day. Wide opening hours and delivery options allow orders to be delivered 7 days a week in the Netherlands. BusinessCom continues to distinguish itself in vision, knowledge, support and strong relationships. Even after the acquisition of Stupers, service to resellers remains central, offering the best telecom and ICT solutions, both on-premise and in the cloud.
