Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has announced the phase-out of the OXO Connect CE, S, and L platforms. This strategic decision marks a significant shift in ALE’s product portfolio, with a renewed focus on more modern communication solutions. Phased Phase-Out: The Timeline
Phase 1: October – December 2025
The first phase officially began on October 17, 2025, with the announcement of the phase-out. Key highlights of this phase include:
- New catalog available from October 20, 2025
- OXO Connect R6.3 general availability
- Overlap with H1.2025 catalog until December 28, 2025
Phase 2: January 2026 – December 2027
During this period, new OXO Connect sales will remain possible under specific conditions:
- Full support for Rainbow Hybrid upsell and OmniPCX Office migration
- Sales allowed while stock lasts
- Add-ons available (subject to stock)
- Software Assurance (SA) items valid until December 31, 2029
- Note: Software suite and migration sales will close at the end of 2027
- No deferred delivery (immediate delivery upon order only)
- Bulk orders evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Maintenance will remain available through the Welcome Center (active SA required), including vulnerability assessments and regular security patch updates.
Phase 3: January 2028 – December 2029
In this phase, sales options will become more limited:
- Add-ons still available (subject to stock)
- Full availability of Rainbow Hybrid upsell
- Software suite and OXO Connect migrations closed for sale
- SA items remain valid until December 31, 2029
- Welcome Center accessible with active SA
- Software support continues with patch and security updates
Phase 4: January – December 2030
The final phase offers limited support:
- Add-ons for both software and hardware (subject to stock)
- Welcome Center remains accessible (even for systems whose SA expires December 31, 2029)
- Hardware support continues until December 2030
